Data Protection
The Data Protection Act lays down rules for processing personal information and applies to paper records as well as those held on computers. Processing means obtaining, recording, storing, sharing, deleting, and otherwise using information.
DDA
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) aims to remove the discrimination disabled people face in employment, access to services and goods, buying or renting property.
Deming Cycle
A four-step improvement process. The first step involves planning for the necessary improvement: the second step is the implementation of the plan; the third step is to check the results of the plan; the last step is to act upon the results of the plan. It is also know as the Shewhart cycle and the PDCA cycle.
Design Review
The comprehensive examination of a design to evaluate the design requirements, the capability of the design to meet these requirements and to identify problems.
DOE (Design of Experiements)
DOE is the science of designing sets of experiments which will generate enough useful data to make sound decisions without costing too much or taking too long.
